Our Commitement

As a brand born at a time  when fighting for Climate Change & Social Justice  is part of the younger generation’s DNA, we felt it was our duty to be more aligned with these values & show our support to the next generations by providing them with a brand that suits their visions.

We are committed to understanding the negative impacts that we create as a a brand & are working towards understanding how to lower those impacts & better yet, turn them into more positive ones. For us, it is not just about creating beautiful, high quality & affordable jeweller. It is also about matching  that beauty with more mindful practices – aiming o not harm our people & planet  in the process.

That is why we have set out a Commitment Roadmap, that w ill help to guide us on this journey, always keeping in mind that the road of a sustainable journey is all about “progress & not perfection”.

The Roadmap

Responsible Sourcing

We celebrate resources that are already above the ground. Our aim is to use sterling silver 925 that has already been mined & previously used for other purposes and now sits as a silver bullion in our suppliers safe.

To produce our first collections of our Classics Range, we managed to recycle & trade 40KG of Sterling Silver 925, avoiding 40KG from being mined.

Semi precious gems

  • No Allergens
  • No Nickel
  • Aligned with REACH eu substance restrictions

Minimising on Waste

All jewellery produced for vivi is done in small batches & limited amounts to avoid excessive waste. Any items that are not sold are then used for recycling. Once items have sold out we work with a “waitlist” system, to give us a better indication of demand, in order to minimise waste. All Artisanal brands also produce in small batches in their studios.

You also have the option to group their orders into one box at check out, in an effort to reduce your waste.

Supporting Local Talent

Vivi is more than just a brand, we are a community. Supporting & collaborating with local talent is something that we value highly. We believe that the best creations happen when different minds with aligned visions are put together. Click here to view our first collaboration collection; Vivi by Luke Azzopardi.

Global Artisanal Communities

Artisanal communities from around the world are being threatened on the daily – with the currently highly saturated markets & the domination of mass production, artisan groups are more and more marginalised. We work with artisanal brands to break this current cycle, and instead make them more accessible to wider markets. Check out our Artisanals collection here.

Eco Friendly Packaging

Packaging in the retail industry accounts for high amounts of waste, especially plastic waste.

We have worked hard to source recycled & recyclable boxes, avoiding plastic all together. Our boxes are also durable enough to act as storage boxes for your jewellery, aiming to facilitate in leaving no trace behind.

Our tissue paper falls part of the Eco Packaging Alliance, meeting high standards of production, listed below:

Acid Free: it is made from cellulose fiber where the active acid pump is eliminated during processing.

Lignin- Sulfur-free: the ink won’t transfer from the tissue & the paper won’t leave behind any of these chemicals when decomposing

Soy Based Inks: an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based inks, made from soybeans, a renewable resource & also beneficial for decomposition. Soy inks also have low levels ofVOCs, reducing air pollution during the drying process.

Maintenance & Repair

Making things last longer is the most sustainable thing that we can do, that is why our products are designed with longevity in mind, using the highest of standards when it comes to materials, processes and more.

Maintaining your jewellery is of utmost importance to us, the more you maintain, the longer your jewellery will last to the high quality & standards of vivi, check out our maintenance tips here.

We also offer repair services for all of our Classics Range, aiming to keep your jewellery lasting as long as possible.

Recycling Programme

This is the most exciting part of our Commitment Roadmap, which is aimed to launch in 2021. We are working on an interesting programme that is being built with us, our planet & of course, you – our gang – in mind.

We don’t want to give too much away just yet, so we’re going to hold back our excitement & wait for the programme to be completed before going too much more away! In the meantime keep following our journey to keep updated.

Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.
